Annual Contribution to the Industry Award

The Annual Contribution to the Industry Award aims to recognize several individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the prior year and demonstrated outstanding overall contribution to the Fund Finance industry, their firms and their clients, with an emphasis on professional contributions focused on excellence in client service, product and service innovations, diversity and inclusion, career development, training and mentoring, networking and community service.

Selection Criteria

The Award recipient will be selected based on outstanding contribution to the FFA and the Fund Finance industry, over the past twelve months.

Will Canty-Collins

The Carlyle Group

Will is responsible for Fund Financing across Carlyle’s Global Private Equity platform. Previously, Will was a member of Credit Suisse’s Fund Financing team focussing on NAV and Subscription Financing, he started his career at Natwest.

Greg Fayvilevich

Fitch Ratings

Greg Fayvilevich is a Managing Director and Global Head of Fitch Ratings’ Fund and Asset Management group, leading a team of 60 analysts covering fund finance, private equity securitizations, and various investment vehicles. A key innovator in fund finance ratings, he developed Fitch’s private equity CFO rating criteria in 2016 and more recently launched the agency’s subscription finance facility rating criteria in 2023, and secondaries NAV methodology in 2024. Under his leadership, Fitch has rated more than 250 subscription facilities through 2024 and expanded its market coverage, addressing growing demand for ratings in fund finance. Greg has played a pivotal role in increasing market transparency, hosting webinars, publishing research, and collaborating with industry stakeholders to establish Fitch as the first ‘Big 3’ agency to introduce subscription facility ratings. His work has been widely covered by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, Asset-Backed Alert, and Private Funds CFO, and he frequently speaks at leading industry events. As Fitch’s fund finance team has tripled in size, Greg has prioritized diversity and inclusion while driving innovation and standardization in fund finance, shaping its future for years to come.

Makiko Harunari

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP

Makiko Harunari has played a pivotal role in shaping the fund finance landscape in Asia, demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to industry growth. As Deputy Chair of the FFA Asia Pacific Executive Committee, she has been instrumental in bridging market practices from the U.S. and Europe into Asia, fostering collaboration among global stakeholders. Her most notable achievement in 2024 was the successful launch of FFA Japan, the Fund Finance Association’s first-ever non-English conference. She personally spearheaded every aspect of the event—from securing sponsors to overseeing logistics in Japanese—resulting in a well-attended gathering that introduced fund finance to a new market. Given its success, she is working with the team to plan FFA Japan 2025 and establish a long-term FFA community in Japan, with the next conference set for May 29th.

Adam Zotkow

Goldman Sachs

Adam is the driving force behind Goldman Sachs’ Fund Finance business, turning it into a market leader in recent years. Through his vision and deep industry expertise, he has expanded GS’s presence in capital call facilities, NAV lending, and asset-backed loans. Notably, Adam led the firm’s acquisition of half of Signature Bank’s subscription line portfolio and spearheaded the first capital call securitization in 2024, unlocking new institutional capital for fund finance. More recently, Adam’s leadership drove Goldman Sachs’ $500M rated securitization of PE subscription lines—the first broadly syndicated, publicly rated deal of its kind—paving the way for structured products in the space. Beyond his achievements, Adam is a dedicated mentor, committed to elevating diverse talent and shaping the future of the industry
